Pyrex Love

Me and Pyrex are in love!

I love the durability. No matter what I do to them… they always clean up pretty.
Mom just added to my collection; some vintage bowl sets from my Great- Grandmother.
YAYAY!

I seen this picture on a friends Pinterest Board:

So, that’s what love looks like!

I wish my Pyrex collection was as pretty as the ones above!
My collection consists of…. CLEAR

BUT…
That’s OK. I can feed my love of Pretty Pyrex this summer,
I KNOW there will be plenty at Garage Sales.

Or I could just satisfy myself via Etsy!

Ok, the Friendship pattern is probably my FAV!

And in case you’re wondering. It’s not JUST bowls:
pyrex creamer

pyrex salt

pyrex cup

I will be scouring Nashville and the surrounding cities ALL summer
in hopes of having a pretty stash of my own one day!

Do you have a love of Pyrex too? What’s  your stash consist of? Have a favorite pattern?

  1. My fave pattern is definitely the teal. I have one of the mustard orange large mixing bowls from my mama, and I've acquired a few assorted casserole dishes via the flea market. I definitely recommend thrifting for them rather than buying online - part of the fun for me is in finding an awesome steal, and they tend to get really marked up on etsy. Happy hunting! <3

  2. I love Pyrex too. My favorites are the solid primary colors. It all started because my Grandmother had Pyrex bowls! The refrigerator dishes are so cool because you can use them forever (unlike plastic). I usually find mine at garage sales and thrift stores. I have the mixing bowl set, divided serving dishes, custard cups, small bowls and a few odds and ends.

  3. The Friendship pattern is definitely my favorite, too. I picked up three of the four mixing bowls at an antique shop with my tax return (I'm missing the largest orange bowl, though). They're all so pretty though... wish I had money and space for more!!

  4. Lovely post! I seem to be a Pyrex magnet. Each time I enter a thrift store I spot a new piece. I always buy anything by Pyrex in aqua, but I love the primary colors, too...even when they've been through the dishwasher many times and have that matte, faded look. Truly beautiful. Sigh!

  5. My collection consists of mostly clear too and a few my mom has let me inherit. We have literally one shelf of tupperware. I have a lot of their bowls, so I have even made cozies for them to use in the microwave! http://www.etsy.com/listing/86008445/glass-bowl-cozy-cream-flower
Hopefully this can help other pyrex lovers like us!
