Remember when the bagger would ask you that in the check-out line?
”Paper or Plastic, Ma’am”
OK. Well, I’m not that old, so no one ever asked ME, but I do remember them asking my Mom.
(totally NOT saying you’re old Mom!!!)
I’m not sure why I’m not asked this question anymore! Everyone assumes I want plastic!
Some stores don’t even have brown bags anymore!
BUT
I do speak up and ask for Paper.
I get a lot of strange looks!
Here is why:
CRAFTS KRAFTS!
There is so much you can do with Kraft paper.
Did you know that is what those brown paper bags are? Kraft paper!
FREE KRAFT PAPER people!
Whether you get it for free, buy it buy the roll or get sheets of Kraft paper stock Here are some pretty ideas:
Tie some around a painted mason jar for a quick centerpiece:
Wrap presents:
Create wedding/party favors:
OH. Kraft paper + Lace = LOVE
Kraft paper Invites:
Decorate Cards:
Mason Jar toppers:
I’m in love with the idea of screen printing on them.
Have I mentioned I NEED a Gocco!!!!
So, the next time you are checking out, and that bagger automatically goes for the plastic bags,
Stop him/her and say “Paper Please!)

Awesome ideas! Love that picture of all the cute wrapped packages. I always ask for paper. I love the way it looks, and feels. I use my bags to make envelopes for greeting cards!

ReplyDeleteI wrap all of my etsy orders with recycled brown paper bags before I put them in a shipping package. I always ask for paper!!
