Vials + Flowers

We all know my obsession with Pinterest.
I swear, that website has my brain all cluttered with ideas!

Every day I find a  new project to add to my ever-growing list of To Do Projects.

I ran across a few pins of pretty mini vials and new I had to make something with mine!

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

A perfect way to display clipping’s from the yard!

hanging vials

They would make quite a unique centerpiece too!

I love them.
Just as much as I love this Message In a Bottle idea!
(Craig said he wanted me to make him one that says how much I love him
so he can hang it from the mirror in his truck. AWE!)

Here is my take on these tiny little treasures bottles:

PERFECT for displaying Adelyn’s little pickings she brings me! $

I just took one of those old picture frames I painted.
Tied some string to the vial and then wrapped and tied it on the top of the picture frame.
EASY PEASY.

I used twine at first, and really preferred that look rather than the yarn.
But my twine is wrapped in a ball, and had kinks,
So the vials wouldn’t lay right.
I might redo it once I figure out a way to get that twine straight.

Have you made a masterpiece with mini-vials!
I’d love to see them.

  3. Mist the twine with warm water and iron it (as long as it's cotton and not a poly-blend)! Thanks for the great ideas :)

  4. I absolutely LOVE the vials tied to the tree branch. Question though: how on earth would you clean those bottles if you used real flowers from your garden? I mean aside from taking the entire branch and 20 vials down which would be quite an awful task.

  8. Try using a hair straighter on low heat to un-kink the twine, it works with ribbon just fine.
