Give the gift of CRAFTINESS | Crafts in a Jar

CRAFT JAR

It’s every crafters favorite gift! A jar of fun stuff plus a pin cushion so you never lose those darn pins again. You can use extra stuff you have on hand (like I did). Or go to the store and buy some fun things.

what u need

Some other things you could add include: lace, pretty FOE, fun beads, embroidery floss, seam reaper, yarn needles, teeny ball of yarn, fancy clothespins, etc…

make top

TIP: Before stuffing the lid, trace the metal insert onto a piece of cardstock and cut out the circle. After stuffing the top, and gluing down the raw edges. Write a little note or quote onto the cardstock and glue it on to cover the raw fabric edge.

I made one of these last Christmas to give as a gift, and ended up keeping it. HAH. I still use it.

Happy crafting!

  2. Hi Kristanlynn!

I have been following your awesome blog and you've got me hooked on pinterest! I'm trying to get my blog off the ground, so if you have any suggestions....

Can I please ask you a few questions in relation to this project? Do you buy the metal plate from somewhere? And do you use it instead of a lid or does it fit over the lid?

    Thanks for the tutorial!!

  3. Hey Tiffany,

The lids come with the mason jars. That's what the lids look like before they are pressure sealed. The lids are two pieces, a metal plate and a band. =)
