visiting oompa... and nana.
The kids insisted that we buy flowers from the stand at the market for Oompa. And then talked about it all day waiting to go visit him.
Stone asked a gajillion times if it was time to go to Oompas... and I kept telling him that Oompa doesn't live in his house anymore... which turned into an argument.
So we went to the cemetery, flowers in hand. Stone reminded me "see, I told you we were going to Oompas", which left my heart sad that Nana and Oompa's house is no longer that.
We listened to a video of him singing "Sweet Adeline" to Adeklyn, and played the few other videos I have on my phone. The kids danced and ran.
I wish I had more videos, I wish the kids had more memories. I'm trying to keep them fresh... praying that when they think of Oompa it makes them smile and think of silly songs and happy hearts.
We left and laid a single flower for Nana and they blew kisses. Kissing their fingers and touching the gravestone.
