So I just made a whipped face cream about a week ago. BUT I absolutely love it! All the butters and carrier oils rate super low on the comedogenic scale which means it will not clog pores. And all the essential oils I used are the top of the top when it comes to skin care! This is perfect for fading fine lines, fading acne scarring/sunspots, moisturizing and keeping those blemishes at bay.
Just a tiny amount is needed. I will say that when I first rub it in my hands to apply to my face, it is a bit oily. But it all soaks in within minutes leaving my skin silky soft.
I even use it as a body butter and it has worked so well for my dry hands and legs.
Here is how I made it:
2TBSP RAW SHEA BUTTER
2TBSP MANGO BUTTER
1TBSP VITAMIN E OIL
2TBSP AVOCADO OIL
10 DROPS FRANKINCENSE
10 DROPS LAVENDER
7 DROPS GERANIUM
5 DROPS TEA TREE
5 DROPS YLANG YLANG
Melt shea butter and mango butter then allow to cool until film covers (I throw mine in the freezer to speed this up). Add essential oils and then whip using a hand or stand mixer on high. You'll see it start to transform to lotion, and the longer you whip it, the more 'whipped' it will get.
I will note again, that A LITTLE goes a long way with this!!
