the BEST vegan burger

This recipe made 12 burgers. And most of the ingredients are guesstimates. Everyone LOVED them!! You could even pre-make the patties and freeze them for an easy & quick dinner night!!

1 C basmati rice
4 C soaked/pre cooked black beans
1 onion diced
around a half of cup of hemp hearts
around a cup of uncooked rolled oats... again
2-3 TBSP garlic
Ketchup & mustard 
Cumin, paprika, turmeric (or Lawry's salt)

Cook the rice. Set aside. 
Sauté the onion with the garlic until brown... add in the beans and cook together for a few mins.
Add that mixture into a food processor with a little over half of the rice and hemp hearts.
Add in some cumin, turmeric, paprika and himalayan salt. Then a few squirts of ketchup and organic mustard. Process it for like 30-45 secs. You want it mixed up pretty well.
Transfer mixture it into a big bowl and add in the rest of the rice and oats.
Mix and form patties. It was super sticky... but once the formed patties rested for a minute... they cooked great.
Just a little olive oil in the frying pan and cook about 4 mins on each side.
