Found myself snorkeling & kayaking in the Bahamas this weekend.

Mom called me on Thursday night and asked if I wanted to take dads spot on the cruise (his passport is expired and they couldn’t find his birth certificate). I said absoulutely YES! BAHAMA’S HERE I COME!!! It was a quick trip but we swam with dozens of sea turtles on our swim to the reef (even got to touch one’s shell on the swim back), saw the most colorful fish, a 5+ foot giant moray eel, almost stepped on a sting ray and then saw quite a few more, plus barracudas & puffer fish. The water was so cold and it took a solid 30 mins afterward to stop shivering but so worth it.

There were no sharks kayaking through the mangroves 😔 but the floor was lined with jelly fish & I was able to hold one. The sting wasn’t too bad and pain/sting was gone by the time we were done kayaking. I took a total of 2 pictures the whole time & wish I had brought our underwater camera- but there’s always next time.

So grateful that I was able to go. For he freedom that comes with my ‘job’, (100% remote) Craig retired and able to watch the kids & especially my mom thinking of me to fill that last minute opening.

I’ve mentioned AE’s classes before, and she recently released her Hello Story 2 class. This layout is a digital file that came in the first lesson & I was so grateful to use it to tell the story of this trip. With a total of 3 photo’s to work with, I feel like it turned out well & I was able to get the story told.

I resized the original file to 6x8. Popped up the kayaking picture. Used one of Ali’s Phrases Roller Stamp with Columbia & Willamette & just a few embellishments (the puffy stickers were a part of March’s SBTM kit).
